So yeah, I finally did it alright. Bought an iPad with a keyboard. I'm that guy now. Now I just have to get used to the new paradigm in computing/social networking. Seriously, there is now little to no use for my main computer anymore, aside from a bit of the music production. (Which I can now do 90% of on the iPad/iPod Touch via Apps)
Finally I understand all the hub bub. It's not unfounded. Quite an addicting technology that one could easily justify it's importance in daily life. There's no need for me to go downstairs on the big PC to update my blog, read Facebook updates, Google stuff, write Music, watch movies, etc. In fact, I only really need the main PC now for downloading media, and even THAT will be greatly reduced with the iPad. Totally using this for shows with a midi controller too. Insanity!
Seriously! There's a free app that allows you to read full color comics...and connect to Kindle.
My life is full of 'win' at the moment.
